1. By Train (From Howrah)
Taking the train is the fastest and most popular way to reach Digha. The journey takes around 3 hours.
- Tamralipta Express: Departs Howrah at 6:50 AM. Reaches Digha at 10:15 AM. (Highly Recommended)
- Kandari Express: Departs Howrah at 2:15 PM. Reaches Digha at 5:50 PM.
- Paharia Express: Runs on weekends. Great alternative if tickets are waitlisted.
2. By Bus (From Esplanade / Karunamoyee)
South Bengal State Transport Corporation (SBSTC) and multiple private operators run frequent AC Volvos and Non-AC buses to Digha.
- Timings: Early morning buses start at 5:30 AM from Esplanade. Night service buses run up to 10:30 PM.
- Journey Time: Between 4.5 to 5 hours depending on traffic at Kolaghat.
3. By Road (Private Car)
Driving down to Digha is an excellent weekend adventure if you love road trips in West Bengal.
- The Route: Take the Vidyasagar Setu to Kona Expressway. Merge onto National Highway 16 (NH-16) and continue till Nandakumar. Take a left onto NH-116B which directly leads to Digha.
- Pro-Tip: The famous Kolaghat stop (Sher-e-Punjab / Express Food Plaza) is midway and essential for breakfast breaks.
